5 Things That Makes Lashes a Luxury
For the past 4 years of being a lash artist in Las Vegas, I have been wondering what sets a luxury lash artist apart from the rest? As I’ve learned my craft and heard first account experiences from my beautiful clients Ive learned its not just the lashes themselves that make them a luxury.
Of course many lash artists will say lashes are a luxury but, if you have ever had a lash nightmare you might understand that it is not that simple.
I have compiled a list that will help in understanding what really makes them luxurious.
The artist
This is the key in finding luxury lashes. Of course we all have to start somewhere and no lashing journey is the same, but a true expert with experience is huge in making sure your lashes are done properly and cleanly. Artists who have more experience are able to better achieve the look - and retention you desire.
The Environment
It is important for you to be comfortable wherever you will be lying for the next 1.5-3 hours (yes it does take some time) so make sure the artist you choose is someone who is welcoming and comforting. I have had many clients who have experienced anxiety before their appointment when they first come in, I mean most first timers just really don’t know what to expect. This is why I always make sure to go over the your expectations as well as explaining the steps along the way to ensure you are at ease.
The Space
I love to have an elegant and inviting space that makes you feel like you are being pampered, we strive for a quiet environment that makes you feel at home. Not to mention sanitation and cleanliness.
Products
This is huge. The quality of products being used makes your set look and feel like night and day. I only use the best glue on the market and if you have every had your lashes done, you will understand the importance of this. Some glues on the market can sting, cause allergic reactions and feel like hard bit of concrete. Some lashes are shiny and cheaply made- and trust me they look that way too. The weight of the lash being used is also imperative to your natural lash health. The glue I use is beautifully formulated to flow with your lash, and it dries to a more rubbery consistency that looks and feels more comfortable. Additionally the lashes we use are so lightweight and fluffy, your lashes will love them.
Retention
Lashes are truly an investment to yourself and your personal style. Regardless if you are a classic girly or a glam boss, you want them to last. This is achieved by numerous factors: proper placement of the lash and care of the lashes. We are a duo on keeping your lashes in check, so make sure you are following the proper care instructions I send in your follow up email, and I’ll be sure to take care placing each individual eyelash on to ensure proper adherence.
